North Korea is increasing their efforts in the mining of the privacy coin Monero as the regime continues its efforts to circumvent sanctions.

According to a report from the U.S. cybersecurity firm Recorded Future on Sunday, the amount of network traffic on monero (XMR) mining coming from North Korean IP ranges had increased by "at least tenfold" since May 2019, surpassing Bitcoin as the regime’s most popular digital asset to mine.
