Etheruem co-founder Vitalik Buterin said at the Latin American Bitcoin Conference on Thursday, December 10 that the crypto industry needs to make wallets more user-friendly to encourage mass adoption.

He explained that wallets are still too difficult to users, opening inexperienced users up to security vulnerabilities, adding that this difficulty may drive users to centralized crypto solutions.

"It’s still much easier than it should be to lose $200,000 if your wallet breaks," Buterin said. "I have a theory that we don’t talk about the problem enough because no one is willing to admit they lost $200,000 because if you admit you lost $200,000, you look like an idiot."
