A couple of months later, Coinbase has continued to climb in those rankings, reaching the 30th slot out of 100 as of Thursday, the store's live rankings show. The app's rising popularity comes despite connectivity issues for Coinbase's platform.
While the Coinbase app has been plagued with technology issues, its rising in App Store rankings is likely due to the greater public paying more attention to Bitcoin and the currency's price continues to climb. At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading hands at $38,047 and is up 10.72%.
