The Chinese city of Shenzhen is set to run another test of its digital yuan by giving 20 million yuan worth over $3 million away to its citizens for the third time, local publication Xinhuanet reported.

Residents of Shenzhen can receive 200 yuan worth of digital currency through a lottery, similar to the past two trial runs. Eligible participants who can register for the random drawing include merchants and employees of firms who will be present in the city during the Spring Festival.  The People's Bank of China issued the digital yuan and the lottery opened on Wednesday.
