New multi-service platform Stake DAO recently announced a governance token airdrop for active DeFi users, according to a post.

The Stake DAO team has set aside 1.5 million SDT tokens (1.5% of SDT total supply)  for active users of a list of popular DeFi projects including Yearn, Uniswap and Aave. The largest sums of tokens, 39% and 45%, have been reserved for addresses which have donated to Gitcoin’s Round 8, as well as participants in DAO governance for the listed projects.

Airdrops became common practice during 2020 while young DeFi protocols were looking to build their communities. Uniswap, for example, distributed $1,400 worth of tokens in September.
