Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen will convene the leaders of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Federal Reserve and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to discuss the recent stock market manipulation concerns, as reported by the Wall Street Journal. 

The meeting will be held as early as Thursday. The participation of CFTC and Fed indicates that this conversation may not be limited to Robinhood, Reddit and GameStop questions.

Ministry of Finance spokesperson Alexandra LaManna said: “Secretary Yellen believes the integrity of markets is important and has asked for a discussion of recent volatility in financial markets and whether recent activities are consistent with investor protection and fair and efficient markets.”
