CryptoCompare Report: Top-Tier Exchanges Saw Their market Share Has Exceeded $1 Trillion

A report released by CryptoCompare today stated that the market share of "top-tie" cryptocurrency exchanges has exceeded $1 trillion.

The report ranks more than 160 global spot exchanges, of which 76 are rated as "top-tie" exchanges. Six exchanges were rated AA grade, namely Coinbase, Gemini, Bitstamp, Kraken, itBit and Luno.

The report also stated that the exchange’s KYC and AML standards have been greatly improved. 44% of the exchanges provide the service of "query full historical trade data via a public API endpoint", compared to only 37% in July. In addition, the proportion of exchanges rated as having "poor or inadequate" KYC has dropped by 11% from July last year to January 2021.
