The digital asset bank Anchorage announced the completion of $80 million in Series C funding, led by the Government of Singapore Investment Corp (GIC), a16z, Blockchain Capital, Lux, and Indico participated in the round.
According to Crunchbase, Anchorage has previously raised a total of $57 million in multiple rounds of financing, the new fund brings its total financing to $137 million.
The new round of funds will go towards to further expand the company's scale and help institutions participate in the crypto market in new ways, including providing cryptocurrency products to more users, diversifying the company's asset reserves, and enabling various emerging use cases.
As Bitpush reported, Anchorage was the first US crypto bank who obtained the National Bank Charter.
