A blog post from Status today pointed out that the Ethereum community has quickly organized a potential solution to this possible 51% attack in response to the planned power transfer activities of ETH miners, led by Vitalik Buterin.
Recently, Ethereum developers put forward a proposal called EIP-1559, which aims to counter the rising transaction fees of the network. It is expected to take effect in July this year. The EIP-1559 opposition group have already technically mustered enough power to conduct their 51% attack.
