Metis, the Ethereum layer 2 and DAO protocol, today announced the completion of a $3 million private round of financing to further build its Metis rollup solution (a scalable layer 2 solution).
The main investors in this round include Block Dream Fund, Genblock Capital, Cryptomeria Capital, Consensus Lab, PARSIQ, YBB Foundation, Flurry Capital, Chronos Ventures, Gate.io, 7 O'Clock Foundation and BMW Capital.
Metis will soon release the Layer 2 Alpha testnet, which will enable DeFi projects to try to create and manage their own dApps on Metis Rollup. The solution can provide increased functionality, a high level of scalability, and ultra-low fees.
The first MVP product built on Metis Rollup--Prologue--will also be launched. This product allows any user to quickly create a DAC (Decentralised Autonomous Company) on Layer 2.
