According to the official announcement, the Cardano community has allocated $500 million worth of ADA tokens to the mission-driven stake pools.
In addition to co-verifying transactions on the Cardano network with the ordinary pools, mission-driven stake pools, which are charity-centric, promises to donate part of its rewards to charities, through ADA or fiat.
More than 100 charitable organizations around the world can accept donations, including humanitarian charities, environmental initiatives, and animal protection alliances.
