Riot Blockchain, Inc. (NASDAQ: RIOT), a listed US mining company, today announced a procurement contract with Bitmain to purchase 42,000 S19j Antminers at a price of $138.5 million. 

This agreement represents an important step by Riot in its strategic move to improve the mining power.

Riot said that after full deployment in 2022, its total Antminers will increase to approximately 81,150, 95% of which will be the latest generation of S19 series models, and the firm's hash rate will reach 7.7 exahash/s.
