BitGo Signs A $4.5 Million Crypto Custody Contract With The Marshals Service

Cryptocurrency custodian BitGo signed a $4,549,672.22 contract with the U.S. Department of Justice's Marshals Service (USMS) to custody confiscated cryptocurrencies, as first reported by Coindesk. 

The contract estimated that BitGo will custody more than $50 million of crypto assets confiscated by the department each year. 

According to the report, between 2017 and 2020, USMS seized an average of 62,000 cryptocurrencies each year.
