Software company NortonLifeLock (NASDAQ: NLOK) today announced the launch of Norton Crypto, a new feature designed to enable consumers to mine cryptocurrency safely and easily through the Norton 360 platform. 

Starting on June 3, selected customers in the Norton Early Adopter Program will be invited to test Ethereum mining. Norton Crypto is expected to be available to all Norton 360 customers in the next few weeks.

Norton claims that its new feature can safely mine Ethereum without exposing the computer to a lot of risks associated with uncensored code. All the mined ETH will be deposited in the cloud-based Norton Wallet.
