According to a filing for Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), as of June 30, the First Midwest Bank's trust division held 29,498 shares of Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC), an increase of 283% from 7,693 shares at the end of March.

First Midwest reported that the value of GBTC held at the time of submission was $880K, but the price of GBTC has fallen by more than 22% this year, from $35.08 on January 4 to $27.18 at the time of writing, so the bank's GBTC value has fallen to approximately $803K. 

First Midwest Bank is the third-largest independent bank headquartered in Illinois, with $14 billion assets under management.
