In an interview with Business Insider, Jeremy Welch, Chief Product Officer of the crypto exchange Kraken, said that Kraken has paid more than $100 million in staking rewards this year because traders have invested nearly $5 billion on its platform to earn interest. 

Kraken is the fourth-largest cryptocurrency exchange in terms of the trading volume. Welch stated that billions of dollars worth of assets have flowed into Kraken's staking platform, and the staked tokens in Ethereum 2.0 alone have exceeded $1 billion.
