Microsoft is looking to protect users of its Edge web browser from potentially malicious software.

According to a blog post on Thursday, the tech giant stated that it has introduced a new feature that will spot and prevent the download of "potentially unwanted applications" (PUAs) such as cryptojackers or adware.

Cryptojackers use codes hidden on websites or downloaded onto users' devices to use the infected computer’s processing power to mine cryptocurrencies.
