Standard Chartered Bank, a multinational bank headquartered in the United Kingdom, announced that it has joined the Global Digital Finance (GDF) Sponsorship Committee. 

GDF is a unique international alliance composed of some of the most innovative cryptocurrencies, fintech companies, and banks in the world. It aims to promote the mainstream adoption of digital assets and ensure the development of appropriate infrastructure for investors to access cryptocurrencies. 

The committee currently consists of ten other members, including cryptocurrency exchanges Coinbase, Huobi, SIX Digital Exchange, and 100x Group. 

According to GDF, Standard Chartered is the first bank to join the group’s sponsorship committee. As a member, the bank will help engage with international regulators in the industry to promote digital assets.
