Wolfgang Beltracchi, German artist and famous art forgery master launched his first NFT collection--The Greats.
The collection will debut in a hidden sale within 8-10 days. Anyone interested will not know the NFT details until the last minute.
Beltracchi admitted to forging hundreds of paintings by famous artists, including Heinrich Campendonk, Fernand Léger, and Max Ernst, he was arrested in 2011 and detained in Germany for more than three years.
The founder of Hashmasks, the team behind The Greats, told Coindesk: "There is no better artist to utilize the blockchain to express their art than Beltracchi. He is the most-censored artist. Hence, we can use the Ethereum blockchain as intended to give access to an otherwise barred artist."
