According to a quarterly report released by Genesis, as traders saw decreasing opportunities to arbitrage from the difference between the Bitcoin prices of the spot and futures market, the demand for Bitcoin is on a downward trend, and institutions are turning to DeFi and altcoins. 

Genesis stated that the launched bilateral options and forward liquidity in SOL and other  Layer-1  (L1)  and blue-chip DeFi assets rapidly gaining adoption with institutional investors, the company saw Q3 spot volume traded reach $25 billion, while derivatives and spot transactions totaled more than $37 billion.
