Deloitte Global, a multinational professional services network, predicts that NFTs for sports media will generate more than $2 billion in transactions in 2022, and that more than 4-5 million fans globally will be owners of these unique sports tokens.
Like Mouratglou mentioned in the video, other sports have already adopted NFTs, but what does that look like? The most common sports NFTs right now are small clips of sports moments or player cards. Picture a traditional paper sports card, but the digital version.
Think about how much a Babe Ruth rookie card will sell for right now. Well you can get your hands on a sports NFT that could sell for a large sum in just months. Of course, it all depends on how well that athlete does. The better the athlete does, the more promising the value of the NFT will be.
