Jack Dorsey, the former Twitter CEO, made his first live public appearance since his Twitter exit with a strong message: our society can benefit from the adoption of Bitcoin

Dorsey had a conversation with fellow Bitcoin proponent, Michael Saylor, the MicroStrategy CEO at MicroStrategy's Bitcoin for Corporations conference. Dorsey said, “we’re the closest we’ve ever been to having a native currency for the internet with Bitcoin.” Dorsey suggested that the world needs a universal currency and strongly advocated for Bitcoin to lead the way.

Dorsey added the benefit of Bitcoin is its transparency. Fees are clear and understandable, compared to traditional finance, where there are more hidden fees and messages.

“Slow things tend to last and be more predictable and secure,” Dorsey said, in response to Bitcoin’s criticism that its development takes longer than other cryptocurrencies like Ethereum.

The former Twitter CEO concluded that at the very least companies and businesses should study and know the benefits of adopting Bitcoin. Dorsey posited that the Bitcoin ecosystem will be key in the future.
