Coinbase announced in a blog post this week that it is expanding services in Australia, calling the country “a priority market for us.”

The crypto exchange said it is incorporating local payment platform PayID as a way for customers to transfer Australian dollars to the platform. In addition, it is offering advanced trading tools, better pricing, and 24/7 chat support to customers there.

John O’Loghlen, previously a regional director with Ant Group, was hired to head the Australian base.
