Alexandre Kech, director of blockchain and digital assets at Citi Ventures, announced earlier this week that he is leaving the bank to join Swiss digital asset exchange Six Digital Exchange.

Before Kech, Citigroup’s head of foreign exchange Itay Tuchman had announced his departure in August to join a digital asset firm.

Kech and Tuchman’s departures reflect a trend of banking executives moving into the world of crypto. In June, three JPMorgan executives left to join crypto firms. In the following month, Danielle Johnson left her position as managing director at Credit Suisse to join Galaxy Digital as head of sales and product strategy.
