The Zcash blockchain is experiencing an increase in size due to a high number of transactions, raising concerns of a potential spam attack.

Co-founder and CTO of bitcoin storage company Casa Jameson Lopp said that the Zcash blockchain more than tripled its size to over 100GB in a matter of months.

The Electric Coin Company, Zcash’s organization, posted a statement on Twitter assuring that everything was functioning normally and that it was working on a solution for users who were experiencing slow buffer times.
