Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried and Binance CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao has been engaging in a war of words on social media over FTX’s buyout of Binance’s investment within the company in 2021.
According to Bankman-Fried, CZ had threatened to withdraw its investment if FTX did not add another $75 million to the deal.
Meanwhile, CZ claims that Bankman-Fried had sent a series of offensive messages to members of Binance when the company announced its withdrawal.
FTX eventually filed for bankruptcy last month, losing billions of dollars of client funds, with Bankman-Fried resigning shortly thereafter.
