Whale Alert reported on Twitter at 2:25 p.m. (EST), April 27, that Tether Treasury minted 120 million USDT (121,137,048 USD) on the Ethereum blockchain.

Paolo Ardoino, CTO of Tether.to and Tether’s sister company, said that the company is developing an EOS-Bitcoin interoperability bridge, a bitcoin wrapper on the EOS main network – the pBTC, according to a report from CoinDesk. Tether plans to create more pTokens to bring closer different chains and make tether cheaper and faster.

Tether is a cryptocurrency that can be pegged to fiat currencies, such as Dollars, Euros, and Yen. On its website, Tether.to claims that the cryptocurrency is 1:1 pegged to Dollar: every tether (USDT) is always valued at 1 USD.
