According to a tweet by Mike Kondoudis, a registered trademark attorney at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has submitted nine trademark applications related to the metaverse as part of its "WE ARE" campaign. 

These trademarks cover various aspects including virtual reality games, virtual clothing and footwear, entertainment services, and other potential services within the metaverse, such as personal training services, laser performances, live audiovisual performances, and sports-related performances.
