The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has charged a man in eastern Russia with high treason after he was suspected of sending cryptocurrencies to the Ukrainian armed forces, according to reports by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. It is reported that the man sent cryptocurrencies to the armed forces in Kyiv to assist in the purchase of ammunition, medical equipment, drones, and infrared rifle scopes. According to TASS news agency, Russian intelligence agencies have confirmed that the detainee used cryptocurrency tools and transferred personal funds through a third party within Ukraine to a foreign charity foundation for use by the Ukrainian armed forces. The quantity and type of cryptocurrencies sent have not been disclosed at the moment.
