Iran issued a license on April 29 to allow Turkey-registered cryptocurrency company, iMiner, to set up the biggest mining farm in the country to mine digital coins and offer trading and custody services nationwide, according to Press TV, a national news network of Iran.

Based on the charter from Iran’s Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade, iMiner can now operate with a computing power of 96,000 terahash every second at its bitcoin mining farm in Semnan, a city in north-central Iran. With an investment of 311 billion rials ($7.3 million), a total of 6,000 machines will work on producing cryptocurrencies.
