According to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Web3 venture capital firm Electric Capital is aiming to raise $300 million for a new fund named Electric Capital Venture Fund III, which will offer pooled investment fund interests as a type of security. The initial sale of the fund has not yet occurred, and Electric Capital does not intend for the offering to last more than a year. 

Electric Capital is a Web3 venture firm located in Palo Alto, California founded by Curtis Spencer and Avichal Garg in 2018. In 2020, Electric Capital raised $110 million for its second venture fund. 

In March 2022, Electric Capital raised $1 billion in venture capital to invest in early-stage crypto startups.
