New Zealand’s central bank stated that the global market is going through a time of change, as digital payments are replacing physical cash. The bank anticipates the new role to lead and safeguard the bank by working on the frontline of the changes.

Earlier this year, the New Zealand Inland Revenue Department released a policy issue paper suggesting a change to reduce the tax on transactions of digital currencies.
