ConsenSys, Ethereum-centered blockchain software company, published a report on May 6, revealing that among 287 ETH holders, more than 65% were willing to stake on ETH 2.0.

The launch of Ethereum 2.0 is to take place this year as the system will move from a Proof of Work (PoW) to a Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm. ConsenSys designed a survey to forecast the stake preferences, behaviors, and needs of ETH holders towards Ethereum 2.0, since their willingness to stake ETH is decisive to the success of a PoS network.

The report also discovered a communication gap between builders, enablers, and prospective participants in the ETH 2.0 community.
