On May 14, John Caruso filed a request for an emergency motion to be released from prison due to the COVID-19 outbreak, after a similar request was denied back in April by Judge Michelle Burns.

Caruso’s legal team argued that the spread of the virus puts the defendant in danger of being infected while he stays in prison.
