Three Mining Pools Are Leading Post-Halving Hash Power

The mining pool, which mined the 630,000th block, is followed by BTC.com (14.1%) and AntPool (12.6%). Altogether, the three pools cover nearly 50% of Bitcoin’s hash power.

Mining data tracker BTC.com recorded hash power generation on Bitcoin in the past three days, F2Pool tops the rank with 22.3%, as of the writing. The mining pool, which mined the 630,000th block, is followed by BTC.com (14.1%) and AntPool (12.6%). Altogether, the three pools cover nearly 50% of Bitcoin’s hash power.

BTC.com and AntPool both belong to Bitmain, which grants the Beijing-based privately-owned crypto company dominance power in the Bitcoin mining ecosystem. According to Bitcoinist, concerns have emerged for potential centralization of BTC hash power and intense hash rate decrease if the leading mining pools close.
