US President-elect Donald Trump said at the opening ceremony of the New York Stock Exchange: “We’re going to do something great with crypto because we don’t want China or anybody else, and not just China, but others are embracing it. And we want to be the head.”

CNBC host Jim Cramer said in an interview with Trump: "You are embracing cryptocurrency... Is cryptocurrency like a strategic oil reserve?"

Trump replied: "I think so."

Trump once said at the Bitcoin Conference in July that if elected, he would establish a "strategic Bitcoin reserve", which won the support of many crypto supporters.
