Leading cryptocurrency exchange Binance will support Theta Mainnet 2.0, according to an announcement from the company.

Binance reported that deposits and withdrawals of THETA and TFUEL will be suspended starting at 4:00AM (UTC) on the day of the launch, Wednesday, May 27. The suspension will lift once the Binance team finds the upgraded network to be stable, according to the release. 

The Binance team also highlighted that the network upgrade will not result in a new token being created.

Theta Mainnet 2.0 promises technical improvements, the start of Theta community staking and a big step towards a decentralized Theta network, Theta Labs reported.
