ErisX has launched an application programming interface which improves over the counter crypto trading, according to a Tuesday release.
Registered members will be able to submit pre-negotiated block trades to the exchange's REST based interface, which will be immediately cleared and carried out. ErisX promises that members can feel confident in the elimination of bi-lateral counterparty risk when trading using the new interface.
“We are removing the friction and risks associated with OTC based workflows and expanding the universe of potential counterparties for our Members with a competitively priced service,” Thomas Chippas, CEO of ErisX, said in a blog post.
The interface can be used for bitcoin, bitcoin cash, ether and litecoin block trading and allows for bulk trades. Traders report their interactions at the trade date or within 15 minutes of execution, coindesk reported.
