According to Coindesk, Nomura Securities' cryptocurrency subsidiary, Laser Digital, has announced that it has obtained a limited license from the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), becoming the first regulated cryptocurrency over-the-counter (OTC) options provider in the region. The license allows them to directly offer clients medium-term options trading based on ISDA agreements, initially focusing on mainstream cryptocurrencies. Laser Digital stated that Dubai's clear regulatory framework is attracting global cryptocurrency companies, with Deribit, previously acquired by Coinbase, also planning to enter this market.
