According to reports, US crypto mining company CleanSpark disclosed that some of the Bitcoin mining machines it imported from April to June 2024 were deemed by US Customs to be of Chinese origin, potentially facing punitive tariffs of up to $185 million. CleanSpark denies the allegations, stating that their procurement contracts and supplier documents indicate the machines are not made in China, and they will vigorously defend against the accusations.
