In a recent announcement, decentralized finance infrastructure project MANTRA proposed a significant initiative to abolish the ERC20 version of OM tokens and migrate OM entirely to MANTRA Chain as the sole native token. This proposal aims to optimize the project's token economic model by integrating liquidity, setting a total supply cap of 25 billion OM tokens, adjusting the token inflation rate to 8%, and enhancing network security performance.

According to data, approximately 250 million OM tokens (28% of total supply) have been migrated since the launch of the MANTRA Chain mainnet. If the proposal is approved, ERC20 format OM tokens will be officially discontinued on January 15, 2026, with any tokens not migrated considered abandoned. Community voting commenced on August 20 at 19:50 Beijing time and will continue until August 22 at 19:50.
