According to reports, crypto-friendly Lead Bank has completed a $70 million financing round at a valuation of $1.47 billion, with a16z and Khosla Ventures leading the investment. Existing investors Ribbit Capital, Coatue, and Zeev Ventures also participated, along with new investors Iconiq Capital and Greycroft. The additional funds will be used to strengthen the balance sheet to support the expansion of its business in the fintech sector. Lead Bank's clients include buy-now-pay-later company Affirm Holdings Inc., corporate spending management platform Ramp Business Corporation, and the stablecoin business division of Stripe Inc. recently acquired by Bridge.
