In a recent announcement, institutional collateral market Gyld Finance has completed a $1.5 million financing round, with Lightshift leading the investment. Gyld Finance, founded by Abbas Ali (former product manager at JPMorgan Kinexys) and Ruchir Gupta (former head of finance and options trading at GSR), is developing regulated financial market infrastructure to transform collateral rewards into tradable institutional asset classes. Gyld has already begun piloting with Figment as its first collateral provider and is now recruiting selected early adopters, including asset management firms, trading companies, and digital asset custodians.
