National Conference on Cost and Quota Management of Power Engineering: Actively Exploring Innovative Applications of AI, Blockchain, and Other Cutting-Edge Technologies in Cost Management

According to reports, the National Conference on Cost and Quota Management of Power Engineering in 2025 was held in Beijing on December 26. An Hongguang, member of the Party Committee and full-time Vice Chairman of the China Electricity Council, fully affirmed the achievements of cost and quota management of power engineering during the '14th Five-Year Plan' period in his speech. He combined the transformation and breakthrough tasks in the energy and power sector in the '15th Five-Year Plan' blueprint, and put forward three requirements for the next step of work. Firstly, to make forward-looking layouts, promote the organic integration of traditional power and emerging formats in the quota system, and build a quota and cost standard system suitable for new power systems. Secondly, to actively explore innovative applications of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain in cost management, establish a cost data sharing mechanism across disciplines and entities, and accelerate the digital transformation of cost management. Thirdly, to play a bridging role, gather consensus and strength from all parties, and jointly promote the stable and far-reaching development of the power cost and quota management industry.
