Creator of Ethereum Vitalik Buterin announced in a tweet on Monday, June 1 that the last stage left in the utilization of Ethereum's Layer 2 is deployment.

Ethereum's Layer 2 includes zero-knowledge implementations, state chains and a plasma framework. However, before these features can be utilized, wallet providers and users need to opt into L2 solutions.

If the framework is designed correctly L2 can assure quick withdrawls in the case of a crisis on plasma chains, Buterin said. He also declared the scaling strategy "basically a success."
