Ethereum builder 1 inch is advocating for increasing the network gas limit by a factor of 2.5 in an effort to address congestion on the network, as reported by Cointelegraph.

Gas prices have more than tripled since the start of May, data from Etherscan shows, resulting in fees for transactions. These fees have coincided with decreased gaming activity. Co-founder of Ethereum Vitalik Buterin responded to 1 inch in a tweet, suggesting raising the limit from 10 million to 12 or 15 million. He also proposed changing gas prices on select calculations.
