The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency says it is reviewing regulations surrounding digital bank activities, including cryptocurrencies, to ensure that policy is up to date, according to a notice from the office.

The notice asked for public input on what steps the office should take and offered questions for people to answer. The questions touched on the crypto-activities of banks and the barriers for adopting crypto-related activities in the banking industry.

Blockchain Association executive director Kristin Smith told Coindesk she was happy to see the Acting Comptroller of the Currency Brian Brooks working towards modernizing banking regulations.
