Ethereum reached 119.63 million unique wallet addresses on Tuesday, June 9. One third of these wallets contain Ether balance, 33.4% more addresses with a balance than in the Bitcoin blockchain, Cryptoslate reported.

The approaching launch of Ethereum 2.0 may mean the creation of even more unique wallet addresses.

The updated proof-of-stake blockchain will allow users with over 32 ETH to stake their tokens and recieve yearly rewards, which could spur an accumulation trend.
