Sony Reveals Details About Upcoming PlayStation 5

Summary: CNBC reported that Sony announced on Thursday that it will launch PlayStation 5 (PS5) later this year. PS5, the fifth generation of home video game console developed and marketed by Sony, will compete against Microsoft’s Xbox Series X, which is also to be released in the year.

“PlayStation 5 marks the biggest yet generational transition as the industry has yet seen,” said Jim Ryan, the president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment in a YouTube livestream.
