CEO of Quantstamp Says Ethereum 2.0 Client Prysm is almost ready to Launch

Ethereum 2.0 client Prysm is “basically ready” to launch, according to Quantstamp Audit CEO Richard Ma in a phone call with Coindesk. 

ETH 2.0 researcher Justin Drake recently stated in Reddit AMA that given the lack of client testing, “earliest practical date for genesis is something like January 3, 2021(Bitcoin’s 12th anniversary)”.

Regardless, with 75% have already been addressed, Ma believes these concerns are “low-level optimization”. Ethereum’s co-founder Vitalik Buterin promises to release the proof-of-stake version by the end of 2020 “regardless of level of readiness” as well.
